Art And Painting - Classes And Workshops For Children And Adults
Beyond being a multidisciplinary artist, I have diverse experience in teaching art workshops to children. My experience is based on many creative workshops I have held at the Hecht Museum in Haifa with groups of children from kindergarten to high school as well as workshops in private settings. The workshops allow children to experiment with different materials, learn about art and the history of art from ancient times to contemporary art, depending on the age and abilities of the child. Creating in different materials allows the child to develop motor skills and artistic skills. Observing the works of artists from different periods, while discussing and learning, allows children to develop artistic understanding, alongside ambition and creativity. The children leave the workshops with beautiful and evocative works as well as with new abilities they have learned and curiosity to try the work again and develop artistic ideas. The following workshops will be held in the children's homes and it is also possible to coordinate private lessons and workshops in small groups.
Alongside workshops for children I also conduct art classes for adults. These classes offer the opportunity to learn the basics of painting in various techniques, from drawing in pencils, through working in charcoal to working in oil paints. Such classes will be accompanied by tours of museums, observation of works of art and discussions. As a master in the history of art, I offer the participants a load of ideas and content, which allow the participants to experience art in the museum in a sharper and deeper way. Participants in such tours will learn to observe art intelligently and develop critique and analytical ability. Observing the works of art of other artists contributes to each person in the development of the artistic eye, creativity and inspiration. After a tour of the museum or gallery, participants will create works inspired by the works they have seen and the discussion of the contents and styles observed. Participants will learn and receive technical tools for personal and professional work, for creation in art materials. In addition, participants will acquire thinking tools in art development, understanding art, and criticism, in accordance with art research methods. Workshops can be arranged at the participants' homes as well as private lessons.
