Gallery Of Books' And Various Texts' Illustrations
Illustrations are drawings that accompany text. Their connection to the text can be direct or indirect, explanatory or interpretive. An illustration can describe the text and can add details, add humor and interest. The illustration can be done in any technique like any other painting, according to the customer's choice: illustration of books in oil on canvas, illustrations for texts in watercolors (Aquarelle) on paper, illustrations in pencils, ink or charcoal on paper, illustrations in mixed media, handmade illustrations including digital processing.
My illustrations are handmade and completely tailored to the client's needs: sometimes this is a writer who is interested in illustrations based on photographs, another client brings only an idea for the illustration and some clients like to leave to me the choice of illustrations. I really like illustration works, they usually have a great artistic freedom and they allow creativity to flourish. I use different techniques depending on the topic of the text and the client's preference, color or monochromatic illustration, stains or drawings. All techniques are good and beloved. Today illustration is more important than ever because most of the media has already moved to images and illustration occupies a central place at least as much as the text, if not more... "One picture is worth a thousand words" - Illustration has long been not the domain of children's books, but the "bread and butter" of the media for adults as well.
